As a Hawaiian i wish that i could have grown up like how the old day were, when we were self sustainable, going to the kalo we will take away knowledge on how to do that. Also Hawaiians had great leaders in order to sustain the kapu. By workinging we will learn to be a servant leader and many other values.
After we present and our hardwork pays off we will have more knowledge and leadership values. Working is in the kalo farm gives back to the community by physically giving out their food produced by the farm. The farm produces kalo, kulolo, poi, paʻi ʻai, laulau, and various different types of berries and herbs. By working in the kalo we practice the values of a leader because of how much work it takes to maintain and contribute to the kalo farm.
